Vintage Artists, July 11, 2018

Donna's new drawing captures the crispness of a spring morning.

Chris is working on the botanical rendering of
dogwood blossoms.

Chris is also working on a trio of tulips.

Reminder:

Please get my attention before you pack up to leave.
Because I'm working too, I sometimes don't get a photo
of your work in progress.  Also, to get better pictures,
if you can lean your work in a vertical position
against the counter, it would be very helpful.
Thank you.
See you at the next meeting!
Bonnie

Critiquing Chris's painting...

Nice job on this oil still life, Jackie.

What a powerful seascape, by Mike!

These lovely paintings were critiqued by our group at this month's session.  We welcome Mike, who was with us for the first time!  This group is under Senior Programming and is free and open to the public.  Feel free to stop by and bring one or two pieces of your artwork to be critiqued.  Or, just sit in and see what we're all about.

ARTS FOR THE AGES, 2018...RECEPTION!

Arts for the Ages 2018...our first annual exhibit of Vintage Artists and 2nd Monday Critiques is  underway!  Our reception, as you can see, was well attended and I think the energy of these two groups is obvious in their artwork and also in their willingness to jump in and do whatever needs to be done to create success.  Kudos!!!  And, as always, thanks to Bill Beuther for providing the photography!

2nd Monday Critiques, June 11, 2018

George's spectacular watercolor!

Uh-oh!  Bill's at it again...another abstract photo of an iceburg!

The whole gang...minus the photo guy.

Jackie shows such sensitivity in this lovely oil painting.

Which one?  That was George's question.

Dave is studying before giving an answer.

Speaking of Dave, here's one of his exciting abstracts.

This is a cheerful acrylic still life by Van Gogh...oops!  by Don!

Lee trying to wake up....

Donna's subtle touch is evident in this colored pencil painting.

Don commenting!

And, George commenting.

A watercolor landscape by Lee.

Chris is off to a beautiful start with this pastel landscape.

Bonnie is continuing work on this stunning cityscape.

Jackie, George, Donna, and Lee

Dave's sparkling landscape makes you want to be there.

Last, but not least, another of Bill's "people in abstract" photos.

Due to a scheduling oversight, we met in the lunchroom today, and had a very limited amount of time.  But, we're a flexible group and somehow we even manged to finish with time to spare.  What lovely work!  This group just keeps getting better and better!
