2nd Monday Critiques, December 10, 2018

At our last critique of 2018, we had some very lovely work to view, as usual.  It's so nice to be able to sit with a group of artists and share ideas and offer positive, encouraging comments, along with suggestions for making our images stronger.  I think we all benefit from the feedback received at these meetings.  If you have not been to one of our critique groups, please make that one of your New Year's Resolutions.  We are always happy to see new faces and new artwork.

Vintage Artists, November 14, 2018

Don's composition is a way of learning about color influenced by Paul Klee.

Bonnie's cool kitty is slowly, but surely being finalized.

Donna is moving along with another sylvan landscape.

Creating away on a dreary November day.

We are researching and learning as we work.

2nd Monday Critiques, November 12, 2018

Photos are from our most recent critique.  The first half of our session was spent critiquing the completed painting that Carol Stevens' had begun at a previous session.  Then, using suggested guidelines, we critiqued our work.  We have some exciting things coming up, so be watching for a notice in the near future.

Vintage Artists, November 7, 2018

It would be a great joy to take a walk in this summer garden drawn by Michele

Lee's fanciful Fall landscape catches the eye with the red row of trees.

Don is starting to sketch this challenging view of an infinity pool!

Chris's swans are floating on a dramatic waterway.

Donna's Fall to Winter Landscape matches our current weather
pattern.  Burrr!

Bonnie's Aunt's Kitty is close to being finished.
Purrr!

Don't forget the critique on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
See you there!

A small group today, only three of us (Lee is behind the camera).  But we had good discussion and lots of room to spread out!!!

2nd Monday Critiques, October 8, 2018

We want to wish a warm welcome to Jane, who attended for the first time this week.  Her painting is  featured at the top of this blog post.  As always, there were many interesting comments and discussions during the course of this critique session.  If you have not visited our critique group, you are missing a great opportunity to exchange ideas with a uniqque group of people who are always happy to see new faces...and, new artwork.
