Art at the Center, 4-19-2017
A small group this morning, but the camaraderie and creative spirit was apparent. Donna's colored-pencil scene sparkles and draws the eye right it. Jackie is getting close to the finish line with her sweetacrylic painting of a child (grandchild?) and horse. Don's portrait appears to be nearing completion also. The lovely, bright scarf sets figure out from the background and attracts the viewer. And, Betty was playing around again!. This intriguing abstract image is on yupo. Lovely!

Critique Group, 4-10-2017
Our
critiques are always energizing because we never know quite what to
expect. The work is varied and interesting, and some of the artists
occasionally surprise us with a new medium or a new style. What a great
way to learn how to critique our artwork... within the comfort of a
caring, supportive group.

Painting Group, 4-5-2017
Spring is in the air, but it was still a bit chilly as we headed to painting group this week. Not quite warm enough for plein air painting, so we had a large group and, as you can see, the subject matter and media are very diverse. A special treat was Betty's Gelli Plate. Talk about exciting work! An easy and fun to boot! The lead photo is one of Betty's Gelli Plate mono prints, done using twine and acrylic paint.
