Wednesday, June 1, 2016

First Wednesday of the month, and two days after the long holiday
weekend.   There were eight of us this morning, and I have to admit,
even though we were all smiling, we were all pretty low key, too.

Gerri brought her new tablet with her to discover more of what it can do.

Donna, our "serious" painter today, began a landscape (using colored
pencils).  You can see the reference photo (upper right).   We hope she'll bring
this back so we can all see the finished product.   Already you
can see dramatic highlights.

Joining us for the first time this week was Marsha's friend, Carlotta.
She and Marsha played with
alcohol inks and, clearly, had the happiest, most colorful
paintings today.  Above, see what Carlotta painted.

And a close-up of Marsha's creation.

Chris, who frequently works with collage, decided to practice
figurative work today.

Also joining us for the first time is Marilynn.  She was
working with pastel today.

Welcome to both ladies, and we hope you'll be joining us again.

See you all next Wednesday at 9am, at the Brunswick Rec Center.
